2019 Eighth Grade Memory Ads

2019 Eighth Grade Memory Ads

Celebrate your graduating 8th graders last year at Baines with a Personal Ad featured in the 2019 yearbook. The ads will be compiled and created 100% online through Balfour.com.  All ads will be one size at 1/8 page. Parents will go through the FREE online Balfour Ad Builder Program to choose a layout, upload photos, write their dedication and pay for the ad. It is a user-friendly program and very easy to access. Follow the step-by-step information to easily place your ad. Please note that a yearbook doesn’t automatically come with the purchase of an ad. If you would like to place a yearbook order and/or order an ad click here.

The deadline to place a Yearbook Ad is Friday, January 11, 2019 or until they are sold out!

Adopt-A-Family for Shared Dreams Holiday Cheer

BAINES MIDDLE SCHOOL – Adopt-A-Family for Shared Dreams Holiday Cheer!
Baines has the privilege of adopting a family in Fort Bend ISD for the Shared Dreams Holiday Cheer program again this year!

The family that we will be providing gifts for was chosen by FBISD school nurses & counselors as a family deserving of an extra special Holiday Season. This family has four children ages 6, 10, 14 & 16; families can only be chosen once so let’s make this a Holiday to remember!!

Please turn in all items to the Baines front office receptionist beginning November 26th but NO LATER THAN Friday, November 30th, 2018 — unwrapped gift items should be placed in a gift bag, the gift cards can be placed in an envelope (please include gift receipts if possible).

Please contact Donna English at denglish5150@gmail.com with any questions.

No time to shop? You also have the option of giving money or a Visa gift card so that items not purchased from the list may be provided.

Thank you all for your generous support & donations!

Shared Dreams

The Shared Dreams program provides short term assistance to registered Fort Bend ISD students whose needs have been determined by their campus nurse with assistance from campus staff.

Every year each campus is asked to provide volunteers to assist at the Shared Dreams facility. The work is easy but it needs a few hands to get it done. The work consists mainly of sorting and hanging clothes. If you can help out on one or all three days between the hours of 10:30 am and 1:30 pm it would be appreciated. Our dates are November 6th, 7th & 9

Nominate a Staff Member with GRIT

From Dr. Roberts:

As you know we are focusing on GRIT this year at Baines Middle School.  We want to provide our staff and students opportunities to grow, be resilient, take initiative, and be tenacious.  We have tied the focus on GRIT to gardening.  We want to plant seeds of knowledge, inspiration, motivation, and belief in our students and our staff.

This year, we would like you to have an opportunity to recognize any staff member who has shown the elements of GRIT (growth, resilience, initiative, or tenacity) or the attributes of the FBIS Profile of a Graduate:  communication or collaboration.

Please use this link to nominate a staff member for Gardener of the Month.  This is a staff remember who has gone above and beyond to help your child or others practice GRIT or in the areas of communication or collaboration.  The link will be available each month and the nomination window will close on the last Friday of the month.
