Moonlight Masquerade in Venice Planning Begins for the Fort Bend Education Foundation’s 22nd Annual Gala

Did you know that the Fort Bend Education Foundation touches EVERY school in the district?  EVERY. SINGLE. SCHOOL. Since inception, the Foundation has given away over 4.4 MILLION dollars in grants to teachers and schools. Your school has benefited from these grants, as well as the underserved and less fortunate schools in the district.  Did you know that Baines Middle School has received $5,555 from the Foundation?  What a difference that money makes in our children’s education!

The Foundation is reaching out to a few of our schools that are fortunate to have strong parent organizations and hoping to put together a table of 10 from Baines Middle School to attend the Moonlight Masquerade in Venice Gala on February 28, 2015 at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square.  The Gala is such a fun and exciting night spent with friends and has the added bonus of supporting such a wonderful cause!  Looking forward to meeting you at the Gala!!!

Dress for Success:  Students are asked to dress in professional clothes that follow the dress code.

 Jeans and sneakers are not acceptable.
The Career Day Committee is still in need of a few  guest speakers, if one the professions listed below is your area of expertise or know someone who might be able to help us out,

Information for our Volunteers: 8th Grade Career Day is Thursday, February 5th.

Our committee has been working hard for months to prepare for this amazing event.  We invite 6th, 7th and 8th grade parents to help make this a successful Career Day for our 8th graders.  Drink items are requested between Monday Feb. 2nd and Wednesday Feb. 4th.  We will need many volunteers to help set up after school on Feb. 4th.  On Feb. 5th (event day), we will need assistance with check in, help with speakers, career fair, and hospitality. Being a floating volunteer is another excellent option!  Volunteers are asked to park across the street in the St. Angela Merici Catholic Church parking lot.
